Mistakes Happen….

I don’t like ladder work. Its a hassle and actually accounts for a fairly large number of falls. So we frame walls as big as we can and do as much to those walls as we can. In all my years of framing rake walls, I’ve never made a big mistake (famous last words). Well we made a mistake on this wall. It was a gable that had a glulam in it to span the room and support a ridge beam. And we framed it backwards. What were the lessons learned postmortem? Always double check yourself….twice.
