Welcome

Finally I’ve taken the time to set up a website and start a YouTube channel (link above). Over the last 6 months it has become clear to me the need to promote education in construction. Here in the US there isn’t very much education in residential construction. Many of us are learning from YouTube and Instagram and the community over at Instagram has become very supportive.

What I would like to do with this website, YouTube and Instagram is continue to provide content focusing on education. This isn’t just tool reviews, or techniques on the job site, but will include proper installation of the products we use. That could be setting windows, ordering concrete, working with engineered wood, interacting with other trades etc.

What I ask of you, is contribute with an open mind in the comments at YouTube, and Instagram. The goal here is to elevate our trades.

To introduce myself, I work in residential construction as a framer, sider, form foundations and some concrete flatwork. I have been in the trades for 20+ years and have written for The Journal of Light Construction since 2003.
