Fall Protection

I don’t like using the gear, but since its required, there is no point in whining about it. Trust me I’ve whined a lot. Last December we as a company visited Super Anchor Safety and bought new gear. We settled on the Deluxe 3D in hi vis. This isn’t a cheap rig, but it is comfortable and we can put our bags on the belt.

I really love the MAX Force Energy Absorber because there are no metal parts. This means nothing banging against my lower back. It connects with a very lightweight (rated) carabiner to my lifeline. It attaches to my D ring but folding it through the loop, like a neck tie.

Lastly I like the lifeline with a prusik knot. Again no metal parts, which keeps the weight down, and means less to maintain in bad weather. I know this reads like an infomercial, but we’ve found this works well for us.
